The Best Fish and Chips Ever

We visited Quayside at about 1.30pm on a busy Friday afternoon in mid-October. After a short time queueing we were greeted by a friendly and polite waiter who showed us to a table. The restaurant was full and the atmosphere fantastic.

After a walk round the town and struggling to decide where to eat we eventually decided on this restaurant. We were seated really quick and shown to a table. We had fish and chips with homemade tartar sauce (beautiful). The meal was very tasty with the fish and batter melting in your mouth. The staff were helpful and quick too.

Came here twice in two days because it was that good. The meals are huge and good value for money. They also do gluten free fish and chips which was perfect for us 10/10

This was our 7th annual visit to whitby and to quayside fish and chips, which were excellent as always. We can honestly say we have never had a bad meal there, always enjoyable, down to the last chip, excellent service, highly recommend.

We visited on a Friday evening. The place was busy but we were taken to a table in a nice position straight away. The menu had ample choice with fish options ranging from haddock to lemon sole. There was a good selection of suitable wines on the wine list too. Service was good and the food was excellent. The batter was particularly good. People like their fish and chips done in different ways but this place was perfect for me and deserves the awards it has won.
